2022 Events

Vintage Base Ball played by 1864 rules on the Polo Field- FREE to attend, FREE to park, FREE Museum Saturday at 6th Cavalry Museum (and restrooms) - GPS address:      6 Barnhardt Circle, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742. Bring lawn chairs or blankets as there is no bleacher seating and food as there may not be concessions. Unless otherwise noted, the two local clubs play each date: Lightfoot (blue uniform) and Mountain City (green uniform).  

Season Opener Saturday, April 23 at 12pm and 2pm vs Phoenix of East Nashville
Saturday, May 21 at 11am,  1pm and 3pm vs Quicksteps of Spring Hill
Saturday, June 11 at 1pm Lightfoot vs Mountain City
Saturday, July 9 Lightfoot vs Nashville Marons at 12pm & Franklin Farriers at 2pm
Saturday, July 30 Mountain City vs Scouts at 12pm, Franklin Farriers at 2pm 
Saturday, August 13 Lightfoot vs Machinists of Knoxville at 12 pm
Saturday, August 13 Mountain City vs Cumberlanders of Nashville at 2 pm
Saturday, August 27 Mountain City vs Lightfoot for the 6th Cavalry Cup Championship at 1 pm.  
May 14 - 10 am - 12 pm "Honoring Those Who Serve" Festival at Honor Park located at  1 Cleburne Street.  The theme for this year's Festival is Law Enforcement with special emphasis and speaker.  The festival will feature Highland Pipes and Drums, Suttles Family Legacy music performance. Catoosas county Color Guard will present the colors,  the "22 A Day" monument will be unveiled and the Children's Advocacy Center will have an Art Exhibit fund-raiser.  FREE to attend, FREE parking, FREE refreshments and family fun.
October 29 - 3rd Annual Halloween Spooktacular Trick or Treat Party at Honor Park located at 1 Cleburne Street from  5 pm - 8 pm.  Bring all the kids to trick or treat, visit with Super Heroes, animals, Police and Fire and other special guests and activities.
November 5 -  2nd Annual Honoring Those Who Serve Parade and Festival. on the Polo Fieldon Barnhardt Circle 10:30 am - 5:00 pm.  Veteran's Day Parade with JROTC, bands, military vehicles and more. Music, food, crafts, vehicle and military displays.
